I am convinced of the potential the internet has to allow moms to do passionate, profitable work from home. My manifesto for this blog is that:
- Moms are savvy business women who can (and should) have a successful personal life as the cornerstone of a viable, sustainable business.
- We must think strategically about our businesses, if we want them to be sustainable. Investing our time and our money are apart of this strategy.
- Inspiration is not enough. We have to ACT on what we believe or we will never move from where we are.
As a business planning specialist, I help moms leverage the power of the internet to build a viable business. Understanding and utilizing Social Media strategies will be a vital part of that. My biggest challenge is moving past the theory of what I’m learning and getting to the the how of what attracts and engages online. I believe learning this for myself and teaching it to other moms could lay the groundwork for a revolution of moms who work from home. I want to make the information taught in the Social Media Summit accessible to women who may not have this type of opportunity. I don’t want to regurgitate it back to them but help them think more strategically about their business and equip them with the tools and knowledge necessary to build viable, sustainable businesses online.
